Abstract: |
The article examines the socio-communicative context of the humanization of the educational process in a technical university. The relevance of the study is driven by the challenges of a globalized society, the transformation of educational values, and the growing emphasis on a student-centred approach in the training of future engineers. The necessity of promoting humanistic values in higher technical education is substantiated, highlighting the importance of integrating professional knowledge with social, ethical, and communicative competencies. Special attention is paid to the results of an experimental study aimed at identifying the demand for the humanization of the educational process among higher education students. The analysis of the responses revealed a high level of awareness of the importance of humanistic values, particularly respect, tolerance, mutual support, social responsibility, and self-realization. Based on the empirical findings, the author proposes a four-level model for understanding the humanization of education: the socio-cultural, institutional (organizational and cultural), academic-pedagogical, and individual-personal levels. This approach enables a comprehensive expansion of the scope of humanistic ideas in higher education. It is argued that the humanization of education is not only a response to technocratic trends but also a necessary condition for shaping conscious, ethically responsible, and socially engaged professionals capable of innovation and effective interaction in multicultural environments. The authors emphasize that the humanization of technical education is a process that integrates ethical, social, and cultural dimensions into academic development, fostering active youth capable of responding to societal challenges and contributing to the common good. Finally, the article outlines prospects for further research on the humanization of society as a confident response to technocratic pressures and the value crises caused by globalization. |
