The market of organic fertilizers is especially important for Ukraine, because its effective functioning is of primary importance for ensuring the food, ecological and energy security of the state, on the one hand, and the bio-economic fundamental component, on the other hand, in connection with the fact that Today, Ukraine is one of the largest players in the world food market, occupying a leading position in the volume of exports of agricultural products. Therefore, the development of the market of organic fertilizers, in the conditions of constant growth in the cost of mineral fertilizers and their increasingly acute shortage in Ukraine, requires finding ways to increase the level of meeting the annually growing needs of agricultural enterprises to provide plants with nutrients. In view of this, the analysis of trends in the current state of the market and the determination of the prospects for its development become particularly relevant. The development of organic production is one of the important measures for the stable supply of the country's population with high-quality and safe agricultural products, it will contribute to the improvement of the economic, social and ecological situation in Ukraine, the complex development of rural areas, the improvement of the population's health and should become one of the factors of strengthening economic relations of the country with the European Community. The article examines the state and prospects for the development of the Ukrainian sector of organic fertilizers. Key challenges such as lack of investment and low farmer awareness are noted, and the potential for further growth is indicated in the context of growing demand for organic products both domestically and internationally. The main producers of the Ukrainian market of organic fertilizers were presented and an assessment of the intensity of competition in the market of organic fertilizers was carried out, the Herrfindahl-Hirschman index was calculated. Considering the European experience in the sale of organic products, which indicates the diversity of sales channels, it can be determined that Ukraine has the potential to develop its sales markets for organic goods in a direction similar to that of Western countries.
