Abstract: |
The war in Ukraine has become a significant challenge for Ukrainian businesses, which have gradually transitioned to a phase of adapting to new working conditions. Given the key role of leadership in the functioning of companies, studying management approaches during wartime is of particular importance. In particular, it is crucial to examine how managers maintain team morale, ensure safety, sustain operational efficiency, and help teams adapt to challenging circumstances. This research contributes to the development of new management strategies and tools. Recent studies show that the war has significantly changed the role of managers, forcing companies to reconsider traditional management approaches. In addition to performing standard managerial functions, leaders increasingly take on the role of psychological support, create a safe working environment, and foster resilience skills in employees, helping them effectively navigate daily challenges. Leadership during wartime requires the ability to work at any time and from any location, as well as the application of innovative approaches to solve complex tasks. In an unstable environment where decisions are often made under conditions of uncertainty, critical qualities include mental flexibility, the ability to promptly adjust strategies, and rapid adaptation to new circumstances. In today’s conditions, leaders are not only organizers but also motivate, train, support, and fairly evaluate their teams' work. An essential aspect is creating an atmosphere of trust, where employees feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings openly, receiving support even during the most challenging times. This approach not only strengthens the team but also promotes their professional and personal growth, which is crucial for the sustainable development of organizations in times of constant change and challenges. |
